About Graham & Thermova
Founder Graham Barr — over a decade installing renewables across England and Wales, on a mission to make heat pumps, solar and battery storage the obvious choice for homeowners, landlords and housing providers.
Graham's story
Most renewable energy companies will sell you a heat pump or a solar panel. Graham Barr started Thermova because he kept seeing the same problem: systems specced in isolation, installed without context, and homeowners left wondering whether any of it was worth the money.
Graham has worked in construction for nearly thirty years. The last decade has been focused entirely on renewables and energy efficiency — across ECO, GBIS, social housing decarbonisation, landlord compliance and domestic energy improvement schemes. He's delivered upgrades to thousands of properties, for private homeowners, landlords and funded retrofit programmes alike.
He's not just an installer. Graham is a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor, Retrofit Assessor and Retrofit Coordinator, with NVQ Level 6 in Site Management and a raft of trade-specific qualifications. That means Thermova handles compliance, property assessment, installation standards and whole-house retrofit planning under one roof — no outsourced guesswork, no gaps between what's promised and what's delivered.
That background matters because renewable energy works best as a system, not a product. A heat pump performs differently depending on the fabric of the building. Solar PV and battery storage change the economics again. Graham's approach is to design integrated upgrades — air source heat pumps, solar PV and battery storage working together — so energy bills actually come down, EPC ratings improve, and properties stop bleeding money to the grid and volatile fossil fuel prices.
Thermova is based in Blackpool and works with homeowners, landlords and housing providers across England and Wales. With up to £7,500 available through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme for eligible heat pump installations, the barrier to switching has never been lower.
The offer is simple: honest advice from someone who's done this thousands of times, quality installation, and a system that works in the real world — not just on paper.
Track record
Graham specifies and delivers heat pumps, solar PV and battery storage as integrated systems — not three products bolted together — and handles the Boiler Upgrade Scheme paperwork as part of the job so customers don't have to chase the grant themselves.
Certifications & accreditations
Thermova operates to the standards required to deliver the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and provide consumer-code-backed quotes.
